Minutes of the Meeting
July 23, 2008
Chairman Roger Schletzbaum (Marion County) called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. with the following members present: Mike Beary (Monroe County) Doug Shutts (Poweshiek County), and Larry Davis (Lucas County).
Also in attendance: Mike Smith (Foth Infrastruture & Environment,LLC). Staff Leslie Sedlock, Milo McCombs, Amber Alley and Sara Bixby.
Moved by Davis, seconded by Shutts to approve the July 2008 agenda as amended. All ayes.
Moved by Shutts, seconded by Beary to approve the Minutes of June 2008. All ayes.
Moved by Shutts, seconded by Beary to approve the financial report and authorize Chairman Schletzbaum to sign august bills. All ayes.
Moved by Davis, seconded by Shutts to approve the bills and the illegal dumping reimbursement to Monroe County in the amount of $2,615, Lucas County in the amount of $3,625 and Marion County SWCD for $2,000. All ayes.
Mike Smith of Foth Infrastructure discussed with board members landfill plans and engineering scopes in FYE 2009.
Bixby reviewed the FYE 2008 budget summary and end of year transfers with board members.
Moved by Shutts, seconded by Beary to approve 2009 budget changes. All ayes.
McCombs (landfill foreman) was not available.
Alley (Outreach Specialist) submitted her outreach specialist report and reviewed it with board members. A complete report is on file with the minutes.
Bixby submitted her Directors report and reviewed it with board members. A complete report is on file with the minutes.
Moved by Shutts, seconded by Davis to adjourn the meeting at 11:15 a.m. All ayes.
