Minutes of the Meeting
April 11, 2007
Chairman Roger Schletzbaum (Marion Co) called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. with the following members present: Larry Davis (Lucas Co.); Mike Beary (Monroe Co.), Doug Shutts (Poweshiek County) was absent.
Also in attendance: Dwight Mater (Marion Co. Alternate). Staff Leslie Sedlock, Milo McCombs and Sara Bixby. Moved by Davis, seconded by Beary to approve the April 2007 agenda as corrected. All ayes.
Moved by Beary, seconded by Davis to approve the minutes of March 2007. All ayes.
Moved by Davis, seconded by Beary to approve the financial report, bills and the reimbursement to Monroe County. All ayes.
Moved by Davis, seconded by Beary to create a site coordinator position at the transfer station and fill that position with an existing part time employee. All ayes.
Moved by Beary, seconded by Davis to renew the Regional Collection Center contract for an additional three years at the same per capita rate. All ayes.
Moved by Beary, seconded by Davis to extend the existing contract with Hoks & Sons mowing for two years at $225 per service call, which includes all mowing, trimming and spraying. All ayes.
The comprehensive solid waste management plan update meeting for Marion County is scheduled for 7p.m., April 12th at the Knoxville City Hall. The Lucas county meeting will be held at 7 p.m., May 16th at the Chariton city Hall.
Moved by Beary, seconded by Davis to adjourn the meeting at 9:50 a.m. All ayes.
